development servicesThe Kissimmee School of Government is an 11-week program designed to provide residents with a first hand look at their City government. This free program is open to all residents, who live within the City limits. Each week residents learn about a different City department through a series of hands-on activities, demonstrations, and tours. The program runs for 11 consecutive Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 9:00. The program begins in late February and ends in early May--complete with a Graduation ceremony.SOG06

Since its inception in the Spring of 2000, more than 200 residents have graduated from the program. These graduates fill more than 90 positions on the City's advisory boards and volunteer committees. Click here to apply for the program!

The City also offers a four week Hispanic School of Government program that is taught entirely in Spanish. This program takes place during the month of October and is open to residents and business owners within the City limits. The program is endorsed by the Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Business Council. Click here to apply for the Hispanic School of Government!
